IRRESPONSIBLE JOURNALISM

A section of the media (print as well as electronic) is giving more importance to the separatists and anti-national elements. There are people who are criticising even the programmes like ‘70 saal azadi—Yaad karo qurbani’, saying that the government wants to thrust nationalism on others. These very people don’t have the courage to even call Burhan Wani a militant. A significant section of the media is glorifying Wani, and shows no sympathy for the families of soldiers who got killed fighting terrorists. PROF AK AGARWAL, PU, CHANDIGARH
