DISSERVICE TO COWS

This refers to the report, ‘Punjab cow vigilante sodomised cattle traders to instil fear’ (HT, August 22). Cattle smugglers as well as the so-called vigilantes are the people with similar mentality. Cow protectors need to first ensure better conditions for the cattle they rescue. Of what use is their torade if the cows starve to death in shelters. SOSHIL RATTAN, AMRITSAR
