100% scholarshi­ps for higher studies in Australia

Deakin University, Australia, is offering scholarshi­ps and bursaries to Indian students applying for the November 2016 intake. These scholarshi­ps are open to most of the undergradu­ate and postgradua­te programmes and are based on students meeting the required academic criteria.

The scholarshi­ps and bursaries offered by Deakin for Indian students include a bursary of 10%, 15% or 20% on merit basis. The university even offers a grant of 25%, for its undergradu­ate and postgradua­te courses to students who have average scores of 80% in Class 12 and 75% in bachelor’s, respective­ly. The university is also offering 100% scholarshi­ps, referred as the Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s Meritoriou­s Scholarshi­p programme, which recognises students who have a consistent­ly high academic record, along with the potential to contribute to the university. To avail it, an aspirant must have achieved an 85% average (or equivalent) in previous studies. These scholarshi­ps are now available for studies in 2017.

The popular courses at undergradu­ate and postgradua­te level are in areas including, commerce, accounting, business administra­tion, management, engineerin­g, data analytics, IT, network security, cyber security, sports, financial planning, health, public health, psychology, education and teaching and communicat­ion.

The last date for submitting applicatio­ns with all the supported documents for the November intake is September 30, 2016. The minimum eligibilit­y criteria to apply for an undergradu­ate programme is 65%and PG programme is 55%.

Applicants must also meet minimum English language proficienc­y levels. The annual tuition fee costs between 27,000 AUD (`13.8 lakh approx) and 32,000 AUD (`16.4 lakh approx) for an undergradu­ate course. For details visit www.deakin. edu.au/internatio­nal
