WE ARE POLITICALLY NEUTRAL: DERA

Bowing to the pressure created by the Congress, the dera issued a statement on Monday evening reiterating that it was neutral. “No party should use name of dera for political gains. We respect all political parties and every candidate has the right to pay homage at the dera. We purely work for spreading Ravidass Maharaaj’s teachings and all our followers must keep it in mind,” said a statement signed by manager of the dera. Sources said that the dera was compelled to issue the statement after Punjab Congress chief Capt Amarinder talked to the dera head on phone.
