Virbhadra trashes BJP chargesheet, threatens to sue party
SHIMLA Chief minister Virbhadra Singh has termed the BJP chargesheet submitted to governor Acharya Devvrat as a "bundle of lies".
"It is an old habit of the BJP to levy false charges as twice during the previous tenure of the BJP, I was implicated in false charges and twice faced the session trial and was later acquitted. Chargesheet needs to be consigned to the dustbin," chief minister Virbhadra Singh said in a written statement here on Saturday.
"BJP is getting my single case of Income Tax returns probed by three different central agencies, which has never happened in country before. Congress government had ensured overall development in the state during its last four years. However, the BJP was finding itself on the backfoot and the chargesheet was prepared in mere depression," he said while threatening to sue BJP .
"If any defamatory issues are found against anyone, the BJP will be liable to legal consequences," he said.
