CHARGES AGAINST MINISTERS
Charges against ministers Irrigation and public health Minister Vidya Stokes, 89, has been targeted over her ‘inertness that patronised corruption’ in the department. The BJP alleged that the department has outsourced schemes worth crore to some private parties for maintenance. At some places, maintenance cost is almost double than the construction cost, BJP alleged. Health minister Kaul Singh has been accused of outsourcing testing lab in Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) and Rajendra Prasad Medical College Tanda. Thakur is also alleged of benefitting one company through single tendering for oxygen supply for state’s premier hospital Indira Gandhi medical college (IGMC). Transport minister GS Bali also figured in BJP’s chargesheet. BJP hit out at Bali over the recruitment of conductors and irregularities purchases around 800 new buses. BJP also alleged that the government buses have been directed to fill the fuel from private operators despite the fact that Himachal road transport corporation has its own fuel pumps. Power and agriculture minister Sujan Singh Pathania has been alleged of a scam in purchasing LED bulbs, electricity meter. He has also been accused of patronising corruption in the marketing board. Forest minister Thakur Singh Bharmauri is accused of submitting a fake affidavit about his education qualification to the election commission. Industries minister Mukesh Agnihotri has been accused of shletering mining mafia. BJP also accused him of backing the drug mafia in the state. Urban development minister Sudhir Sharma is accused of corruption in registering builders in the state. BJP also alleged a scam in organising paragliding world cup in Bir. Excise minister Prakash Chaudhary has been accused of scam in liquor distribution. BJP said earlier tenders were called for liquor but later scrapped and new corporation is floated for liquor distribution in the state. Rural and development minister Anil Sharma is charged of personal corruption. He has also been accused of having assets more than the income.
