HP chief minister blows poll bugle
DHARAMSHALA: Chief minister Virbhadra Singh on Saturday blew the bugle for the assembly elections slated in the state next year, at the Dharamsala rally on Saturday. The rally was organised to celebrate Congress- led state government’s four year in rule.
In his address, Virbhadra said the crowd present in the rally was response of the people to the work done by the state government in four years.
He accused the opposition BJP of trying to divide the people of the state on the bases of religion, cast and region.
“There are some forces like BJP who play divisive politics and people should remain aware of such forces and give them a befitting reply by staying united,” said Virbhadra.
He said Himachal Pradesh has emerged as leading state on various fronts of development.
“Credit of Himachal becoming one of the most developed states in the country goes to Congress governments, which ruled the state time to time,” he added.
SUDHIR SHOWS STRENGTH
The Dharamshala rally was a big test for Dharamshala MLA and urban development minister Sudhir Sharma.
“I am overwhelmed and grateful to the people of Dharamshala for their support,” said Sudhir after the rally, adding that this was a response to the work done by Himachal Pradesh government in four years.
