Jilted lover kills married woman

ROHTAK: A jilted lover on Sunday allegedly killed a married woman after she left him to return back to her husband.

The woman is identified as Sunita, a resident of Meham town in Rohtak. She had earlier left her husband and eloped with the accused, Sandeep. However, recently she had returned after eight months.

Her husband stated in his police complaint that on Sunday he had gone to buy milk from the market. When he returned, he found his wife covered in a pool of blood. She was trying to run away from Sandeep, who was holding a knife and broken glass bottle to attack her, he said.

He alleged that Sandeep killed her with multiple attacks, and injured him as well when he tried to save his wife.

Police said they have registered a case against Sandeep for murder based on the complaint. It is learnt that the couple was married for over 20 years and has two daughters. HTC
