Passion along with conviction can change our destiny
When we say life is what we make of it, we are basically assuring ourselves that we can do whatever we want to do with our lives. Of course, one has to understand that to do what we want to do, one has to be a strict disciplinarian and doggedly hardworking with great passion. We have to have the conviction to convert our dreams and beliefs into realities by positive action and honest dealings.
It is in this context that American musician and author Peter Buffett says that one must find one’s own path to fulfillment because, “Your life is yours to create. Be grateful for the opportunity. Seize it with passion and boldness. Whatever you decide to do, commit to it with all your strength … and begin it now.”
That means we must cultivate values of life because of which our deeds and behaviour enable us to tread the path to greater success every movement, at every turn. Good values enable us to cultivate the rewards of selfrespect, which in turn goes a long way in making life for others comfortable and meaningful. Good values give you peace of mind, and that means surety of gains all the way in the long journey of life.
At times, it may seem that all is not going well with your life. Never mind, if you have the conviction that it is for the greater good of all, you are treading the right path. A momentary loss, at times, creates the foundation for big gains in the long run. That is why we are told by our elders to be righteously farsighted because momentary gains are necessarily illusionary and harm you in the long run.
