CITY STILL NOT SLICK

One moment they look like world beaters, in the other, nothing more than ordinary. Clearly, City under Guardiola are a work in progress, and will have to be well-tuned up when Monaco visit the Etihad on Tuesday night.

The defence remains their weakest link with players still getting used to Guardiola’s style of playing from the back and maintain a high line at every opportunity. Also, while creating chances hasn’t been a problem, converting them will be high on their agenda if they are to go all the way on the domestic front as well as in Europe.
