UNFORTUNATE IRONY
Gallantry award winners’ families in the state losing hope of getting government jobs is unfortunate. It is the foremost responsibility of the state and Centre to allot jobs to kin of such heroes, but in the five cases mentioned in a report published, nothing has been done. Rather there have been attempts tp recruit late chief minister Beant Singh’s grandson as a deputy superintendent of police (DSP). As a goodwill gesture, Singh’s family should decline the post.
