EDUCATION SYSTEM IN DOLDRUMS

-

The Class 10 result has put spotlight on the sorry state of affairs in state’s education system. Mushrooming of private, public schools has encouraged the corporate sector. This has resulted in loss of affordable education to those in need. Teachers are overburdened in the state with extra and mostly useless work, which affects studies of students at the primary level. In addition, shortage of funds and non-payment of salary hampers the morale of teachers. To protect their rights, they are forced to protest. It should be ensured that teachers spend full six hours teaching. Primary education lays the foundation for every child’s future and the quality of this base must be ensured.
