Attack on schoolgirl: Accused yet to be held

BATHINDA: A day after a Class-9 girl was attacked by a stalker in the classroom of a private school in Talwandi Sabo, police is yet to arrest the accused. She was attacked with a sharp weapon on Tuesday. Accused targeted her face, and she tried to protect it thus suffering injuries on her arms. She is admitted at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital, Faridkot. Jasvir Singh, who failed in Class 10 at the same school, was pressing her to marry him. Police said the victim is admitted to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital, Faridkot. Station house officer Jagdish Kumar said a hunt has been launched.
