Canal breach inundates paddy fields in Bathinda

BATHINDA : A breach at the mini-canal inundated nearly 30 acre paddy fields in Bathinda on Tuesday night. Upkaran Sing, XEN, canal division, said that the breach was reported near Sirsa railway crossing at around 9pm. He added that the water was controlled by midnight and repair work is on. He added that the administration was assessing the damage to the crop.
