Four found illegally helping ‘patwaris’

BATHINDA: The Vigilance Bureau sleuths found four persons working in the Bathinda patwarkhan helping the revenue officials in their work illegally, on Wednesday. On receiving complaint of private persons working on behalf of revenue officers, resulting in corruption, mistakes in records and inconvenience to people, VB conducted a raid.

SSP, Bathinda range Jagjit Singh said that two persons, Gurwinder Singh and Himanshu, were found working with revenue patwari of Mehna Patti, Sukhwinder Singh; retired revenue patwari Ramesh Kumar for patwari Jagdish Kumar; and Gurmail Singh for Kanugo Jagjit Singh.

The concerned revenue officials were also present with the four. A report in this regard will be sent to the higher ups in the VB and officials of revenue department, for required action against the accused officials. HTC
