SBS NAGAR: Since the 32-year-old financier from Fateh Nagar colony was found murdered in Manila and his uncle Talwinder Pal Sogi of Balachaur, who had gone to deliver the ransom, has gone missing, the family members are now worried and relying on the government for their kin’s safety.

The family has sought the foreign minister Sushma Swaraj’s intervention in the case to take up the matter with the Philippines authorities immediately. They claimed that there was no information about Talwinder and his suspected kidnapping. A pal of gloom had descended on the locality when the news of Lalit’s murder and his missing uncle was spread a couple of days ago.

Lalit’s uncles Naresh Kumar and Ashwani Kumar said that their cousin Talwinder was also working as a financier in the Philippines and since he had gone missing, the contact number of his son was also out of reach. They said, “Lalit’ s body has been handed over to the family and will be cremated there. They also demanded a fair probe in Lalit’ s murder case. Lalit Kumar Tinki was into a money-lending business along with his brother and was reportedly kidnapped on September 3. His family had received a call from ‘kidnap- pers’ who demanded ₹2 crore as ransom but the deal settled for ₹7 lakh. Lalit’s uncle reportedly went to pay the money on September 12 but later, the family learnt that Talwinder never reached there after which, Lalit’s brother informed the police and found Lalit’s body on reaching the designated place.
