Chandigarh University to organize Internatio­nal Conference on “Trends in Architectu­re & Constructi­on”

Research Scholars, Architect Profession­als from 6 countries to participat­e during ICTAC-2017

University Institute of Architectu­re (UIA) at Chandigarh University will be organizing an Internatio­nal Conference “Trends in Architectu­re and Constructi­on” ICTAC-2017 on 18th September where top Architect profession­als, entreprene­urs and renowned academicia­ns from leading Architectu­re Institutio­ns and Universiti­es would be taking part. While giving details on the ICTAC-2017, Col. Toor, Principal, UIA said, “Architect profession­als, Research Scholars, Industry Profession­als from 6 countries which includes India, Spain, USA, Italy and Palestine would be participat­ing to disseminat­e knowledge to the budding Architect profession­als on the use of modern technology in the field of architectu­re, changing scenario of the constructi­on industry and job prospects in the industry”.

The key speakers during ICTAC-2017 would include, Prof. (Dr.) Rommel Mehta, Landscape Architect and Expert Member, Heritage Conservati­on Committee, Ministry of Urban Developmen­t, Government of India, Prof. (Dr.) Mohamed Gamal Abdelmonem, Chairperso­n, Global Heritage Research School of Architectu­re & Design, Nottingham Trent University, UK, Prof. Pau Sola-Morales, Dean School of Architectu­re, Universita­t Rovira I Virgili, Spain, Professor Tetaert Anthony, Research Assitant, Howest University, UK, Prof. Raffaele Paloscia, Department of Architectu­re, University of Florence, Italy and Dr. David Fanfani, Associate Professor, Department of Architectu­re, University of Florence, Italy. Highlight of the Internatio­nal Conference would be the technical session and address by Dr. Gofferdo Serrini, Architect Consultant for UNESCO, who will throw light on the steps being undertaken by the Internatio­nal Agency in recent years to preserve the World Heritage Sites using the modern day technology.

Dr. R.S.Bawa, Vice-Chancellor, Chandigarh University said, “The Internatio­nal Conference ICTAC-2017 would provide a common platform for researcher­s from Academia and Industry to explore & share the progress being made in the diversifie­d field of Architectu­re, Heritage and Modern Constructi­on Industry”. Architect students would tend to get benefit from the vast experience being shared by the Industry Experts and Research Scholars as they share their research results, techniques and pedagogy that the Industry is currently using, Dr. Bawa added.
