THE PARTY’S NATIONAL EXECUTIVE PASSED A RESOLUTION HAILING MODI’S ECONOMIC POLICIES, DIPLOMATIC ACHIEVEMENTS AND HIS TOUGH STANCE ON CROSSBORDER TERROR

NEW DELHI: The BJP on Monday feted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the peaceful resolution of Doklam standoff between India and China, terming it as “a sign of mature politics & diplomatic victory” of the government.

The party’s national executive that met in the national capital passed a political resolution hailing Modi’s economic policies, diplomatic achievements and his tough stance on crossborder terror.

“The skill, patience & firmness shown by the leadership while dealing with the Doklam dispute has not only strengthened the security concerns of the nation but also enhanced the prestige of India in the world. During the Doklam crisis, constant communication & coordination with Bhutan has demonstrated India’s sensitivity towards the interest of our friendly neighbours and the government’s ‘neighbourhood first’ policy,” stated the resolution.

It is the “success” of government’s foreign policy that terrorism was at the forefront in the Resolution passed at BRICS summit 2017.

The ruling party also hailed Modi’s tough policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism and separatism.

“The government has taken tough measures in tackling terrorists and their supporters. The recent actions taken against terrorism along the borders of the country are evident to everyone. In the last 6 months, many terrorists have been neutralized...exemplary sensitivity demonstrated by security forces is worth mention and deserves compliment...” it said.

It added that the government has achieved “a remarkable balancing act” by showing no mercy to terrorists and displaying “a marked degree of sensitivity” towards the common people of the state who are being used by the terrorist forces.

“Narendra Modi -led BJP government is to be congratulated for putting the spotlight on terrorism on international fora, isolating Pakistan and exposing the role of terrorist organizations before the international community,” it added.
