ROHTAK: A local court on Tuesday permitted the police to conduct polygraph test of two employees of a private school who were accused of gangrape of a schoolgirl, in her anonymous letter sent to the police and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The student of Om Public School in Gohana had written in her letter that school clerk Sukhbir and accountant Karambir, sexually assaulted her on several occasions and gangraped her in a local hotel. She has not come forward as of now to register her statement in front of the magistrate.

Haryana additional director general of police (law) Akil Mohammad on Tuesday reached Gohana to review the investigation in the case. He said the police are investigating the case from all aspects, and urged the victim to come forward.

However, he said, the police are not ruling out mischief behind the anonymous letter. Earlier, the school, too, had said they suspected the mischief by their competitors to defame the name of their school.

PANIPAT CASE: PARENTS ADAMANT ON PRINCIPAL’S ARREST

PANIPAT: A week after the arrest of a sweeper for molesting a nineyear-old girl in The Millennium School here, protesting parents on Tuesday remained adamant on their demand for the arrest of principal Amita Kochhar as well.

They met Panipat deputy commissioner (DC) Chander Shekhar Khare and demanded Kochhar’s arrest, holding her responsible for the incident.

Sources said that the DC told them that the special investigation team (SI) has already started its investigations into the case and action will be taken against the people found guilty in the investigation.

Talking to Hindustan Times, Madhur Kataria, a member of the parents association said, “We demanded the principal’s arrest, but the DC asked us to wait till the SIT submits its report.”

The SIT is scheduled to submit its report on Wednesday (September 27). Meanwhile, the school will also remain closed till Wednesday, as per the orders by the district administration.
