Woman gangraped in Jalandhar village, three accused at large
JALANDHAR: Police have registered a case against three people in Adampur police station of Jalandhar district for allegedly raping a married woman on September 21.
The complainant has alleged that she was gangraped in Kotli Dhan Singh village on September 21. She added that the accused threatened her with dire consequences, because of which she remained silent for a week. On Thursday, she lodged a police complaint.

In her complaint, the woman said on September 21 she was heading to her maternal home after a quarrel with her husband. On way, when she was crossing a liquor vend in Kotli Dhan Singh village, Kancha asked her where she was headed to. She said that when she did not reply, Kancha started following her.

She further alleged that on reaching the spot, Ghugh took her on his bike on the pretext of dropping her at her maternal house but abandoned her at a lonely place. Following this, Kancha and Kalu forcibly took her to a nearby sugarcane field and raped her, she said.
