4 WOMEN AMONG 5 HELD, 550GM HEROIN SEIZED

TARN TARAN: Police have busted a nexus of heroin smugglers with the arrest of five people, including four women, with 550gm heroin, worth ₹2.75 crore in the international market. Accused are Lakhwinder Singh, Simarjit Kaur, her mother Sonia, Sonam and Amanjot Kaur. The gang’s kingpin, Janakraj and his aide Malkiat Singh aka Madda are absconding. They recovered 390gm heroin from Lakhwinder, 50gm heroin from Simarjit, 50gm heroin from Sonia, 40gm heroin and ₹80,000 from Sonam and 20gm heroin and ₹70,000 from Amanjot.
