NEW YORK/WASHINGTON: Actor Steven Seagal, Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner and comedian Louis CK are the latest American entertainers to be accused of sexual harassment, following the downfalls of Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey.

Actress Portia de Rossi, the wife of chat queen Ellen DeGeneres, accused Seagal of flashing her during an undated audition for a movie in his office.

“He told me how important it was to have chemistry off-screen as he sat me down and unzipped his leather pants,” de Rossi tweeted on Wednesday. “I ran out and called my agent. Unfazed, she replied, ‘well, I didn’t know if he was your type.”

Actress Jenny McCarthy, who first accused Seagal in 1998, on Thursday revisited her encounter with the actor when auditioning for his 1995 movie Under Siege 2 when he allegedly asked her to lower her dress.

Seagal’s representatives did not immediately respond to requests to comment.

Weiner’s accuser was his former personal assistant and staff writer Kater Gordon. In an interview to The Information, she alleged Weiner made a sexually explicit remark while they were working on the Mad Men series.

“He told me that I owed it to him to let him see me naked,” Gordon said, adding that she “froze” and tried to ignore the comments. She said that she told the story to people close to her but did not officially report the incident for fear of losing her job.

Gordon’s allegations were swiftly denied by Weiner. His publicist said Weiner did not remember making the comment and that it does not reflect a comment he would say to a colleague.

Five women accused Louis CK of sexually inappropriate behaviour, according to a report by the New York Times .

Dana Min Goodman and Julia Wolov told said in 2002, CK invited them to his hotel room and shocked them by asking if he could take out his penis. As they laughed, thinking it was a joke, he proceeded to take off all his clothes and masturbate.

Three other women told the Times that CK masturbated in their presence, over the phone, or that he asked if he could.

Louis CK’s publicist, Lewis Kay, told the New York Times the comedian would not respond to the allegations. “Louis is not going to answer any questions,” Kay wrote in an email.

REPUBLICAN IN SOUP OVER CHILD SEX CLAIM

Republican leaders called for their senate candidate Roy Moore to quit the race in Alabama if a woman’s allegation that he had initiated a sexual encounter with her when she was only 14, was true. Moore, an assistant district attorney then, was 32.

The woman, Leigh Corfman, who is 53 now, told The Washington Post that she first met Moore, 70, outside a courthouse where she and her mother were waiting for a custody hearing.

Moore later picked her up from her house after a few days, drove her to his house and kissed her, she has claimed.
