Hooda gives Tanwar meet a miss: ‘I’m not in the know’
HISAR:Former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Wednesday skipped the 'manthan shivir' organised by Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) president Ashok Tanwar in Hisar.
Addressing mediapersons at Congress Bhawan, Ashok Tanwar said, "We have organised the manthan shivir for Congress workers as assembly elections are approaching. We have also invited all Congress leaders of the state. If someone does not attend the meet, it is their choice."
"The manthan shivir will conclude in Rohtak and I have directed all the Congress workers and leaders to work round-theclock for the party to gear up for the elections," he said.
Tanwar claimed the BJP will not be able to develop an international airport in Hisar. "No one from the government visited the house of the martyr in Gurgaon," Tanwar added.
At another press conference in the district court in Hisar, Hooda said he was not aware of any ‘manthan shivir’ being organised. On the CBI chargesheet against him, Hooda said, "The BJP is now showing political vindictiveness." The CBI has filed the chargesheet against Hooda and 33 others in the Manesar land deal case, charging them with criminal conspiracy and graft.
"The Congress is ready for the elections. Manohar Lal Khattarled BJP government in the state has failed to maintain law and order and the state," he said.
‘BJP FAILED TO PROVIDE WATER TO FARMERS’
Hooda said farmers are protesting against the BJP government for the last 25 days as it failed to provide water to 80 villages for irrigation. "Land in nearly 80 village has turned barren. The Congress government provided water to the farmers," the former CM said.
