On annual spiritual pilgrimage, Rajini visits J&K, Himachal

JAMMU :Tamil superstar Rajinikant­h, along with his guru saint Yogiraj Amar Jyoti, visited the cave shrine of Lord Shiva at Shivkhori temple in Ransoo in Reasi district on late Sunday evening.

It is learnt that Rajinikant­h reached the base camp of the pilgrimage, around 120 kilometers from Jammu, at around 5 pm. Later in the evening, he paid obeisance at the cave shrine.

As per sources, the 67-yearold Tamil superstar will take part in the evening aarti at the Bhawan and would most likely stay there on Sunday night.

The Tamil superstar said he was a spiritual person.

“I am a spiritual person. From here, I am going to Himalayas, Rishikesh (Uttarakhan­d),” he said adding that “I have a lot of plans and I dont want to reveal it now”.

REFUSES TO TALK POLITICS

Rajinikant­h is presently on his annual spiritual pilgrimage. On Saturday, he met had his guru at Palampur in Himachal Pradesh.

Tamil super star has been visiting the Himalayas every year during which he usually meets spiritual leaders.

The actor-turned-politician, however, refused to talk about politics when he was queried about his party, which is yet to be named.

“I am on a pilgrimage here. It (the visit) is excellent, so divine and different from routine. I do not want to talk politics here,” the superstar told ANI here.

Rajinikant­h was on Saturday spotted at ‘Mahavtar Baba Ashram’ meditation centre in the remote village of Kandabari.

The actor, who is on a “private visit” to the state, had earlier this year announced to launch a political party and contest all 234 assembly constituen­cies in 2021 Tamil Nadu elections.
