Pvt school murder: CBI questions three cops who were part of SIT
GURGAON: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday questioned three officers of Gurgaon police in connection with the murder of an 8-year-old boy in a private school on Sohna road on September 8, 2017. The three officers were part of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) that was constituted to investigate the case.
The boy, who studied in Class 2, was found with his throat slit on the school premises. The three officers are sub inspector Shamsher Singh, EASI Subash and scientifc assistant Jyoti Singh.
It has been learned that the CBI was questioned these officers to understand various aspects of the investigation based on which certain conclusions were drawn by the probe team. While the Gurgaon police initially arrested Ashok Kumar, the conductor of the school bus, in connection with the murder, the CBI apprehended a 16-year-old boy after taking over the case. The bus conductor was later acquitted by a court.
The Gurgaon police said that summons have been served on the three officers for questioning and they would visit the CBI office in Delhi,.
Ashok Bakshi, DCP, south , said, “The summonses were served on them at the police station and they must have left for Delhi,” he said.
