INLD-BSP marriage of convenience set to fail, says Haryana minister
CHANDIGARH: Haryana finance minister Capt Abhimanyu and minister of state for cooperation Manish Kumar Grover on Thursday described the INLDBSP alliance as a “marriage of convenience just to grab power in the state which was set to fail”.
Reacting to the alliance, Capt Abhimanyu said greed for power of the leaders of two parties, which have been out of power for a long time, had brought them together. The ministers said not based on principles or ideology, this marriage of convenience was destined to fail.
Grover said the INLD and Congress never did anything for tscheduled castes and the people of this community do not believe in any party other than BJP.
OPPORTUNISTIC ALLIANCE: TANWAR
Meanwhile, reacting to reports of alliance the Haryana Congress president Ashok Tanwar also said that the alliance between INLD and BSP was pure opportunism as both the parties had lost their ground in the state.
Tanwar said while INLD was struggling in search of some support as it was being badly rejected since the past three assembly polls, the BSP, which was disowned by the people of Uttar Pradesh in the past two polls was also in search some crutches. He said that the people of Haryana were aware about the opportunism of both these parties and they would not accept this opportunistic alliance.
