High court transfers 38 judges in Punjab

The Punjab and Haryana high court on Wednesday evening shifted 38 judicial officers, including four district and sessions judges and 34 additional district and sessions judges, working in Punjab district courts.

An official said the exercise was part of annual general transfers effected by the court in April-May. All the officers have been asked to join their places of transfer by May 1.

Of the district and sessions judges, Sukhvinder Kaur (Mansa) goes to Muktsar, Rajinder Singh Rai (Kapurthala) goes to Fatehgarh Sahib, Kishore Kumar (Muktsar) goes to Kapurthala and Harpal Singh (Fatehgarh Sahib) goes to Faridkot.

As of district and sessions judges, Ramesh Kumari (Pathankot) goes to Barnala, Sunita Kumari (Rupnagar) goes to Amritsar, Mandeep Pannu (Chandigarh) goes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Arunvir Vashishta (Bathinda) has been shifted to Ludhiana, Jasjit Singh (Amritsar) to Sangrur and Kamaljit Lamba (Gurdaspur) to Patiala.

District and sessions judge Jatinder Pal Singh (Ludhiana) has been transferre­d to Gurdaspur, Jatinder Kaur-II (Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar) to Patiala, Raj Kumar (Jalandhar) to Bathinda, Rajnish Garg (Gurdaspur) to Mohali, Sanjay Kumar Sachdeva (Chandigarh) to Rupnagar, Jaswinder Sheemar (Gurdaspur) to Sangrur, Sant Parkash Sood (Tarn Taran) to Bathinda, Manjot Kaur (Sangrur) to Patiala and Baljinder Siddhu (Bathinda) to Fatehgarh Sahib.

Other officers transferre­d are: Naval Kumar (Patiala) to Tarn Taran, Sanjiv Joshi (Sangrur) to Chandigarh, Baljinder Singh-II (Patiala) to Pathankot, Lachhman Singh (Fazilka) to Faridkot, Jatinder Kaur (Patiala) to Patiala (from presiding officer, industrial tribunal to additional district and sessions judge), Jitender Walia (Kapurthala) to Sangrur, Harpreet Kaur (member secretary, State Court Management Services Committee, Chandigarh, to Mohali, Ranjeet Kaur (Faridkot) to Jalandhar, Tejinderbi­r Singh (Chandigarh Judicial Academy) to Sangrur, Hira Singh (Faridkot) to Jalandhar, Gurnam Singh Dhillon (Jalandhar) to Barnala, Krishan Kumar Singla (Sangrur) to Gurdaspur, Vijay Kumar (Jalandhar) to Fazilka, Shatin Goyal (Sangrur) to Jalandhar, Rajneesh (Patiala) to Sangrur, Daljit Singh Ralhan (Ludhiana) to Mansa, Baljinder Singh Sra (Barnala) to Chandigarh (judicial academy), Puneet Mohan Sharma (Mohali) to Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and Jagdeep Sood (Mansa) to Moga.
