Free heliambulance services to be introduced in HP
CABINET MEETING The facility will be available for patients in remote and tribal areas of the state
SHIMLA: Taking into consideration the tough topographical conditions in the state, the Himachal Pradesh government decided to introduce free heli- ambulance services in the state in a cabinet meeting held here on Thursday.
The meeting was presided over by chief minister Jai Ram Thakur.
Heli-ambulance services will be operated by Heli-mission Switzerland with the assistance of Lady Willingdon Hospital, Manali in Kullu district. The new initiative is aimed at strengthening the health transport services and timely air lifting of the patients particularly of remote and tribal regions of the state.
The cabinet also gave its approval to purchase 26 new ambulances under the National Ambulance Service -108 as replacement to facilitate the patients.
HEALTH CARE TRANSFORMATION PROJECT ALSO APPROVED
An approval was given to set up health care transformation project named TATA Digital Nerves Centre (DiNC) Platform in Kullu district.
DiNC is a service led platform model and facilitate to and fro communication between patients, hospitals and doctors irrespective of their geographical locations. It helps screening basic symptoms, facilitates doctor consultations and to send alerts for follow-up and manages records of the patients. Apart from it, the cabinet gave its approval to fill up 1,235 posts of transport multipurpose assistants (TMPA) in the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC).
The cabinet also accorded its approval to fill up 200 posts of clerks and 25 posts of junior scale stenographer in the Himachal Pradesh secretariat administration department (SAD) on contract basis through direct recruitment.
The cabinet further decided to fill up 100 posts of junior engineer (civil), 20 posts of junior engineer (mechanical), 25 posts of assistant engineer (civil) and two posts of assistant engineer (electrical) in the public works department on contract basis.
Besides, two post of data entry operator under State Medicinal Plants Board in the ayurveda department.
CIVIL HOSPITAL NURPUR TO BE UPGRADED
The cabinet also gave its nod to upgrade the civil hospital Nurpur in Kangra district to 200-bed hospital along with creation of additional 42 posts of different categories.
It was decided to fill up 7 posts of different categories for the establishment of Programme Management Unit in the ayurveda department sponsored by the Ministry of Ayush , government of India.
The cabinet accorded its approval to open new State of Art Industrial Training Institute (ITI) at Chhatari in Thunag tehsil of Mandi district and creation requisite posts of different categories to run institute.
It decided that the gram panchayat veterinary assistants (GPVA) who have completed as five years of service will be brought under contract.
