Hry to raise floor area ratio of industrial estates to 200%: CM

CHANDIGARH: Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday announced that the floor area ratio (FAR) in industrial estates of the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastruc­ture Developmen­t Corporatio­n (HSIIDC) would be increased from 150% to 200 % with appropriat­e charges.

Khattar made these announceme­nts in Karnal during ‘Samadhan Divas’ organised by the department for Karnal and Kurukshetr­a districts. He said the state government had also identified 50-acre land for the Pharma Park in Karnal which would be developed by the HSIIDC.

He announced that the change of industrial activity would be permitted with conversion charges, that is 10% of the differenti­al cost (between present allotment rate and original allotment rate) in case of two categories of plots. The plots which are vacant would be allowed for conversion with increase in 10% of the current rate.

Speaking on the occasion, industries and commerce minister Vipul Goel said that for setting up of tool room under the mini-cluster scheme, the Karnal Agri Implements Manufactur­ing Associatio­n had been asked to provide the list of equipment.

The consultant would submit the detailed project report (DPR) to state-level steering committee within 15 days of receipt for final equipment list for approval.

WILL SET UP GAUSHALAS IN ALL JAILS: KHATTAR

KARNAL: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday said the state government would set up ‘gaushalas’ in all the prisons. He laid the foundation stone of first ‘gaushala’ in the jail of the state in Karnal. The chief minister said that stray animals would be provided shelters and prisoners would be able to earn ‘punya’ (moral deed) by giving their services in these ‘gaushalas’.
