WOMAN, HER 2 KIDS FOUND DEAD, HUSBAND BLAMED OF POISONING

WOMAN’S FAMILY ALLEGES THE ACCUSED HAS BEEN DEMANDING DOWRY SINCE THE DUO’S WEDDING IN 2008

FARIDABAD : Three members of a family, two kids and their mother, died under suspicious circumstan­ces with her family members charging the woman’s husband of poisoning.

The police have booked the husband for murder.

The incident occurred in Faridpur village under Bhupani police station on Friday.

Police said that they received informatio­n about the incident and rushed to the house and found three members of the family lying unconsciou­s.

They said all three were rushed to a hospital where the doctors declared the kids, Yash, 8, and Dev, 5, brought dead. Their mother, Rita, 29, was also declared dead later.

Rita was married to one Inderjit, a tractor driver in 2008. Police said that her family alleged that her husband was demanding dowry ever since their marriage and had poisoned all three to death pertaining to same.

“We have registered a case against husband of the victim and other family members under Section 302 (murder), 328 (causing hurt by means of poison) and 498(A) (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty), of the Indian Penal Code (IPC),” station house officer (SHO) Bhupani Mitrapal said. He added, “The bodies were handed over to the family after postmortem on Saturday and once the report comes, we will ascertain the cause of death. The accused will be arrested soon.”
