“Sazid works as a cab driver and owns the Scorpio which he had bought from another person a few months ago. However, it is yet to be transferred to him. The MP Lok Sabha sticker on the car was a fake and he has no political relations,” Ravinder Kumar, PRO, Gurugram police, said.

The police also found alcohol bottles in the Scorpio and said that one of the three occupants of the Scorpio car tried to put a bottle in the cab to mislead them.

“The accused will be presented before a court on Tuesday. A case has been lodged against him under relevant sections of the IPC,” Kumar said.
