Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday claimed that there is not a single allegation of corruption against the BJP government that has ruled the state for over three-and-a-half years.

“We know it was difficult to run a government by following the policy of zero tolerance on corruption, but we have successfully achieved this target in the past three-and-a half years,” Khattar said while addressing a gathering during his road show in Kurukshetra.

He said that the BJP formed the government for the “service of people” and several initiatives have been taken since it came to power. “The government will continue working with the same spirit in future also.”

The CM said, “I believe in Bhagwad Gita’s sermon that hard work is key to success, so we have taken several initiatives for the welfare of the people.”

‘WILL GET HARYANA’S SHARE OF WATER THROUGH SYL CANAL’

Referring to protests by the opposition over the issue of SYL canal, he accused the previous governments of misleading people over the issue. “Since the Supreme Court has given the verdict in Haryana’s favour, they are now struggling to claim credit. “Yeh log ungli katwakar shaheed hona chahte hain (They want to become martyrs by getting a finger cut),” he said.

He said the BJP government was committed to getting Haryana’s share of river water through the SYL canal.

Khattar paid homage at Chhevin Patshahi gurdwara here before starting the road show from the theme park.

Ministers of state Krishan Bedi, Karan Dev Kamboj and local MLA Subhash Sudha also participated in the road show.
