WANTED MEN CARRYING ₹20L REWARD ARRESTED

Rajiv, alias Bobby, has been involved in more than 20 cases of heinous crimes in Jhajjar, Bahadurgar­h, Rohtak and Gurugram

He was convicted of his first crimes in 1994, after he was found carrying a knife to the exam hall in his school. He had murdered a pan shop owner near Bahadurgah bus stand and assaulted a sweets shop owner He looted several petrol pumps in Jhajjar, Rohtak and Gurugram and more than 10 cases of carjacking against him in Gurugram

Rajiv and alleged gangster Ashok Pradhan are also believed to have opened fire on a police team from Haryana near Giddad Baha in Bhatinda, Punjab

While in a Haryana jail, he had allegedly chopped the nose of a fellow inmate following an altercatio­n

He is also alleged to have committed the murder of sarpanch Azad Singh of his village, Brahi, in 2001

In 2002, he kidnapped Rohtak based businessma­n Aman Jain and demanded a ransom of Rs1 crore. He was arrested and given a 20-year jail term

9 mm loaded pistol made in Italy was recovered from him Kumar was arrested in 2005 from Bahadurgar­h, following the incident of rape and murder He was convicted and lodged in Jhajjar jail for two years and was released on bail in 2006, following an appeal

He was also involved with three more gangs in Haryana, including that of Rathi, Gujjar and Gadoli, the police said
