RINKU HAS PLOTS IN ILLEGAL COLONY, ALLEGE BJP LEADERS

-

JALANDHAR: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders Sheetal Angural and Amit Taneja alleged here on Wednesday that Jalandhar MLA (West) Sushil Kumar Rinku has plots in the illegal colony near Deol Nagar, Kala Sangha road, where he had stopped demolition by climbing atop a JCB machine on Friday last.

Angural, while showing the registry of two plots in the name of Rinku’s wife Sunita as evidence, said that how an MLA can purchase plots in an illegal colony. “In the registration document, he has shown one plot as a commercial one and the other as residential just to get the benefit under the proposed one-time settlement policy,” Angural alleged. He said that how can Rinku decide whether a plot is commercial or residential.

Citing another violation, Taneja said that in Basti Danish Manda, an illegal colony has been set up on 3-acre land, which once belonged to Rinku and his family members, including his mother and three sisters. “Rinku would have sold the land to someone on the assurance that he could establish a colony here without any hassles,” he alleged.

Angural demanded an FIR against Rinku for disrupting the public servants from performing their duty.

Rinku said that he has no involvement in any illegal work and, moreover, he is not answerable to BJP leaders. “Even if I have done something illegal, I am answerable to the department concerned.”
