NPA, TA, DA among other allowances hiked in Haryana
STATE FINANCE MINISTER SAID THE REVISION WOULD
BE ON THE BASIS OF RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE 7TH CENTRAL PAY COMMISSION, EFFECTIVE FROM MAY 1, 2018
CHANDIGARH : Haryana finance minister Capt Abhimanyu said on Thursday that the finance department had issued notifications to enhance allowances, including non-practising allowance (NPA), travelling allowance (TA) and daily allowance (DA).
The revision of allowances would be on the basis of recommendations of the 7th Central pay commission, effective from May 1, 2018.
Capt Abhimanyu further said that the state government also revised the existing rate of children education allowance to ₹1,125 from ₹750 per month per eligible child, limited to first two children.
Likewise, a special allowance for childcare had been introduced for differentlyabled female government employees.
He said the state government had revised the existing rates of NPA by 20% of pay in pay matrix in the revised pay structure to the doctors of the health department, animal husbandry and dairy development department and Ayush department.
He said that the rates of hill compensatory allowance to the Haryana government employees posted in Morni Hills had been revision at 2.5% of the pay in pay matrix, subject to minimum ₹350 and maximum ₹700 per month.
Moreover, the rates of cycle allowance to all group D employees had been revised at the rate of ₹200 per month.
The existing rate of special allowance to all sanitation workers (safai karmcharis) had been revised at the rate of ₹625 per month.
The existing rate of conveyance allowance to blind and orthopaedically differentlyabled employees had been revised at the rate of 10% of the pay in pay matrix, subject to minimum ₹2,500 per month and maximum ₹7,200 per month.
