ROHTAK:In an alleged incident of public apathy, a man whose foot was cut under a train at Bhiwani railway station, was offered no help by onlookers who were instead busy shooting his video.

A graphic video of the incident surfaced on social media and has evoked anger among citizens as it shows the victim picking up his dismembered foot and tossing it on the platform before climbing the platform himself from the tracks.

The incident occurred four days ago when Jain Chowk resident Krishna Kumar was going to Hisar with his wife to enquire about a relative’s health. While his wife had seated in the train, Kumar got down to purchase water. As the train started moving, he rushed to get back but slipped on the footsteps. His foot came under the train and got dismembered.

The video shows Kumar covered in blood sitting on the tracks after the train passed, with his foot lying next to him. The bystanders around him do not offer any help.

Two cops are also seen in the video, but they too do not lend any help except for holding his one arm while he climbed the platform after tossing his cut-off foot on it.

“Extremely shameful and inhumane. They should have rushed him to a hospital but instead, everyone is shying away from even touching him and making videos,” wrote a user Sumit Kumar on the video shared on Facebook.

Bhiwani GRP police station did not pick up the phone despite multiple calls. It is learnt that Kumar was admitted to a private hospital in Hisar where he is presently undergoing treatment. His wife said she thought Kumar had missed his train when he went to get water. But she got to know on phone later that he has met with an accident at the railway station.
