ADDICT DOESN’T GET DRUG, ENDS LIFE IN FATEHABAD

A 20-year-old youth committed suicide after he failed to arrange money to purchase drug for him at Gullarwala village under Tohana sub-division of Fatehabad district on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Surender Kumar, a resident of the same village. Raj Pal, an uncle of the victim, told the police that Surender was a drug addict and he wanted money to purchase smack for himself. “He was once taken to the hospital for drug de-addiction, but all in vain. His father is a farmer in Rajasthan.” Police said they have started proceeding­s under Section 174 (suicide) of the CrPC.
