ENJOY LIFE FULLY, BUT NEVER AT THE COST OF OTHERS’ HAPPINESS

What is life and how can we define it? It is not an easy question because life is very complicated. But I have discovered an easy way of describing life by turning around the word ‘Life’ into ‘Efil’. Now, if we take ‘Efil’ to mean ‘enjoy fully in life,’ that may not be giving a true meaning of life but it certainly tells us that life is to be happy, and one must enjoy all that is good and positive without harming others.

And, if we were to go for the dictionary meaning of life, then it means: “The condition that distinguishes animals and plants from inorganic matter, including the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity and continual change preceding death.”

That may be a very boring definition. Let us, therefore, find out something in between for our own satisfaction: The period between birth and death, including all the high and low points now and then, because of our own doings and misdoings, can be called life for any living being.

Among the ‘doings’ should come the positive and morality aspects of life. That means there has to be a mission to be fulfilled for each person’s life on this planet. And that can be done only by cultivating human values like love, compassion, and forgiveness.

And, of course, our motto should be not to live and enjoy life at the cost of others’ happiness.
