Teen gangraped in Y’nagar, 6 booked

KARNAL: A 14-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped by six youths in Yamunanaga­r colony, the police said.

The accused, who are neighbours of the victim, allegedly took her from the house saying that her father had with met an accident and was in the hospital.

When the girl went with them, the accused took her to a room and raped her. The accused, aged between 19 and 22, were identified as Mauseem, Salman, Jony, Anish, Feroz and Wasil. They have been booked under Sections 376 DA, 366 A of the IPC and Sections 6 and 18 of the POCSO Act.

As per the police complaint filed by the victim’s mother, accused Mauseen and Jony had came to their locality on Tuesday evening. The met the victim outside the house and told her that her father had met with an accident and was admitted to a hospital and took her with them on a bike.

The mother said that the accused also made cuts on her body with a blade when she objected. After raping her, they left her near Hamida bridge in Yamunanaga­r and she reached home around 12.30am on Wednesday. Yamunanaga­r city police station in-charge Narender Rana said the victim has accused six people of gangrape and the police have registered the FIR. He said that four accused — Mouseem, Salman, Jony and Anish — have already been arrested and investigat­ion was on to arrest others. HTC
