Gurugram: Serial killer confesses to raping two more minor girls

The police on Friday said they have solved two more murders with the arrest of Sunil Kumar, who was held for allegedly raping and murdering a minor.

According to the police, he confessed to having raped and murdered two girls in sectors 27 and 47 in 2014. The family members of the 11-year-old girl who was found raped and murdered in a vacant plot on August 5, 2014, met the Special Investigation Team (SIT) members on Friday and recorded their statements.

The girl was kidnapped from Sector 27 around 8.40pm, when she had gone to deliver ironed clothes, and was found murdered the next morning, said police.“The police have told us that the accused confessed to raping and killing my daughter. We had left hope of getting justice, but his arrest has given us another reason to live,” the girl’s father said.

A team of five members took the accused to Gwalior and Jhansi on Friday to get more details into the crimes he had allegedly committed, the police said. The police are trying to track the family of the minor girl, who was raped and murdered in Sector 47, near the Crime Investigation Agency’s office in July 2014. Usha Kundu, the assistant commissioner of police, said that blood samples had been sent to Madhuban Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) to check if the DNA of the accused matches with the samples lifted from the spots.HTC
