Notably, on four consecutive days from November 9, India lost three soldiers and an army porter in sniper fire by Pakistani army on the LoC.

On October 23, Pakistan had also targeted Poonch brigade headquarters at Poonch town with a mortar shell fired from across the LoC at 10.50 am and then fired another mortar at another army camp in Gulpur sector of Poonch at 5.35pm the same day.

The Indian army had also released a video showing how it struck the Pak army’s administrative headquarters.

On November 20, Pakistan injured two Indian soldiers after it opened heavy fire on Indian positions along the LoC in Rajouri and Poonch districts, barely an hour before the second phase of the panchayat polls. The same day, Pakistani troops had first fired two mortar shells that landed close to the 93 Infantry Brigade in Poonch town.
