ON THE SUSPECTS

Who are they?

The prime suspect is the bomber, Adil Ahmad Dar, named by Jaish-e-Mohammad. But officials believe the mastermind could be Jaish founder Masood Azhar’s nephew Mohammed Umair

How many were there?

The attack may have involved at least 3-4 people including Dar. The others include the person who assembled the explosives and several others who acted as spotters tracking the convoy

ON THE VEHICLE

What was it?

While initially reported as an SUV, forensics analysis of the debris suggests it could be Maruti vehicle, possibly even a small car or a van

Whose was it?

No leads disclosed so far

Where did it come from?

The vehicle is believed to have joined the highway through a side road leading to villages nearby. Most villages are interconne­cted.
