PATIALA : Punjab chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh on Tuesday said the whole world knows that Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) is behind the Pulwama terror attack, questioning if India needs to send bodies of our soldiers as proof of this.

Amarinder said this in response to Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s statement that they did not have any role in the terror attack that left at least 40 CRPF personnel dead, after laying the foundation stone of a canal-based water supply system at Mandoli village of Ghanaur assembly segment in Patiala district.

“Is there any need to give any more substantial evidence to Imran Khan as JeM chief Masood Azhar engineered the terror plot while sitting in Pakistan? Imran is ISI’s ceremonial prime minister. So how else do we expect him to react?” he said.

“The Pakistan army and its Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) are sponsoring terror activities in Kashmir. Every day our soldiers are killed at the Line of Control (LoC). Who’s killing them? What proof is he talking about?” he questioned.

The CM tweeted in the afternoon, tagging Imran, saying “You have Jaish chief Masood Azhar sitting in Bahawalpur and masterminding the attacks with ISI help. Go pick him up from there. If you can’t let us know we’ll do it for you.”

“BTW what has been done about the proofs of Mumbai’s 26/11 attack. Time to walk the talk (sic),” his tweet read.

“A Pakistani grenade was used even in the Rajasansi blast (Nirankari Bhawan), exposing their involvement. India cannot and should not tolerate this. The Centre should respond aggressively to such dastardly activities of Pakistan,” the chief minister said.

Earlier, addressing the gathering at the stone-laying ceremony, he underlined the importance of peace for development but not at the cost of the lives of our soldiers.

“Surgical strikes could be one way of doing it. But it’s up to the Centre to decide what course of action should be taken,” he added.
