Dushyant promises sops for pensioners, youths at Rohtak rally
ASKS GOVT EMPLOYEES TO CONTEST AGAINST KHATTAR; PROMISES TICKET, SUPPORT AND MONEY TO THEM
ROHTAK : Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) leader Dushyant Chautala on Sunday held a rally in Rohtak and promised several welfare schemes for youths and pensioners.
He was here to celebrate the 106th birth anniversary of former deputy prime minister Chaudhary Devi Lal.
Addressing a rally, Dushyant said, “We would re-implement the old pension scheme, provide 75% reservation in both government and private sectors for Haryana residents, 10 extra marks for rural youths during recruitment for government jobs in Haryana, increase amount for old pensioners and ensure pay parity for government employees if voted to power.”
He also promised relocation of liquor vends out of villages, fixed salary of ₹8,000/month for sarpanchs and free bus passes for village representatives in their respective home districts among others sops.
The former Hisar MP also hit out at Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar by saying that he was responsible for manhandling government employees.
“I urge you (government employees) to contest the poll against Khattar and my party would give you ticket, support and money for the election. If you do so, you can give him a befitting reply,” he added.
Last year, during a rally held on the occasion of Devi Lal’s birth anniversary in Gohana, Dushyant Chautala and his younger brother Digvijay were expelled by his grandfather OP Chautala from the INLD for indulging in hooliganism and anti-party activities.
Following this, the JJP was formed.
The INLD will, however, celebrate Devi Lal’s birth anniversary in Kaithal on September 25.
