GURUGRAM: Urging people to vote for the Bharatiya Janata Party in large numbers, chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday said that the party changed the very paradigm of governance by ensuring there was no discrimination on the basis of regions or caste and the focus was to serve the people.

“The previous governments and just wanted to enjoy power and make use of it to enrich their families,” said Khattar, while addressing a rally at Dussehra Ground, New Colony, Gurugram. The CM said that his decision to give development funds to opposition MLAs showed that the government was working for all the people of Haryana.

Khattar also referred to the EVM (electronic voting machine) as ‘every vote for Manohar’ and asked people to remember this while voting for BJP candidate Sudhir Singla from Gurgaon constituency.

“This is beginning of the ‘Ram Rajya’ where the goal of the government is ‘sabka saath, sabka Vikas’,” said Khattar. He cited setting up of GMDA, allowing registry of fourth floor, and increasing FAR as decisions that were taken as people asked for them.

He also cautioned the voters not to get misguided by the opposition, who will try to divide them on the basis of caste, community and religion. “There are people who have approached us to get into the party, but they don’t have clean background. Such people will not be allowed entry into BJP and you should also not vote for them,” said the CM. Singla said that he was inspired by the honesty of PM Modi and CM Khattar and promised the people that he would work hard to make Gurgaon a great city.
