The newly inducted ministers of the chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar-led Bharatiya Janata Party-Jannayak Janta Party coalition government on Thursday assured allround development across the state, saying the government will run without glitches.

“We will provide a stable government,” Anil Vij, the senior most MLA of the BJP, said on the sidelines of the oath taking ceremony held in the lawns of Haryana Raj Bhawan, adjoining the Sukhna Lake.

“The government is committed to all-round development of the state,” he reiterated.

As the Congress has been describing the BJP-JJP coalition as an unholy alliance that may fail to complete the full term, Vij shot back, saying both BJP and the JJP are opposed to the Congress and always fought against the Congress.

According to former Vidhan Sabha speaker Kanwar Pal, who was sworn in after Vij, further improving educational and medical facilities would be among his top priorities.

Banwari Lal, who was a minister in the previous term, said education, health and security will be priority areas. “We will speed up the ongoing development work,” he said. The newly inducted ministers said the coalition government will strive for fulfilling the aspirations of the people.

Sandeep Singh, former hockey captain, who was sworn in as minister of state, said: “We will take Haryana to new heights in the field of sports.”

JJP MLA Anoop Dhanak, who took oath as minister of state, said the priority will be to undertake development of the entire state.

Speaking to reporters after the swearing-in ceremony, Union minister and Faridabad MP Krishan Pal Gurjar said the new government will undertake all-round development.

Asked about the opposition claim that the coalition government will not last its full fiveyear term, he said, “They have no issue…their wish will never come true…We will provide a strong and stable government.”

On Thursday, Khattar expanded his council of ministers by inducting six cabinetrank ministers and four, including a woman, as ministers of state.
