23-yr-old woman’s bullet-riddled body found in Rewari village
ROHTAK: A 23-year-old woman’s bullet-riddled body was recovered from the bushes at Nandrampur Bass village in Rewari, police said on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as a native of Hanumangarh of Rajasthan, who had been staying in Delhi for the last three months.
Rewari deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Mohammad Jamal said police had recovered the bullet-riddled body on Saturday but the identification of the body was done late at night.
“The woman’s body was found with injury marks on her head, chest, neck and above private parts. We had recovered a visiting card from her pocket.
With the help of Sangaria police in Rajasthan, we managed to contact the victim’s family,” DSP added.
HAD BEEN LIVING IN DELHI
The DSP added that the woman’s father told them that she had been living in Rohini in Delhi for the past few months and was taking treatment for depression.
On Friday, she had left for a park in Rohini and even contacted the family during day time. On Saturday morning too, they had reportedly received a text message from her phone, stating that she is fine.
A cop pleading anonymity said that assailants may have taken her phone and sent a text message to her father after killing her.
DSP Jamal further said that only three bullets were found on her body during post-mortem. “Prime facie it appears to be a case of love affair gone wrong. We suspect the lover may have plotted her killing. The girl’s belongs to a well-to-do business family in Sangaria. She was doing a beauty parlour course in Sangaria in Rajasthan,” he added.
A case of murder has been registered against unidentified persons.
