LOCKDOWN 4.0 IN CHANDIGARH

Relaxation­s come into force from May 19. Night curfew will continue to remain in force on the movement of individual­s, for all non-essential activities, between 7pm and 7am

WHAT’S OPEN/ALLOWED OFFICES

■ All UT administra­tion offices will function from 10am to 5:30pm with lunch break from 1pm to 1:30pm

■Besides senior officials, only 50% staff under the rank of deputy secretary will be called on rotation

■Public dealing offices such as sampark centres, RLA, sub-registrar office will remain open

■People can meet officers for their grievance redressal only between 11am and 12 noon, preferably with prior appointmen­ts.

■ Private offices are advised to operate with 50% staff and encourage their employees to work from home

MARKETS

■ All shops in internal sector markets (neighbourh­ood markets) open from 10am to 6pm on all days, except the usual weekly off

■ Shops in congested markets, such as the Sector-46 Rehri Market, Shastri Market in Sector 22, Patel Market in Sector 15, Krishna Market in Sector 41, Sadar Bazar in Sector 19 and Palika Bazar in Sector 18, will remain open on odd-even basis. The shops timings will be from 10.30am to 6pm

■ Markets in Sector 17, Sector 34 and shops on the sector dividing roads have been opened. However, shop timings will be from 11am to 6pm

■ Street vending allowed on already earmarked vending zones on odd-even basis

■ All motor repair markets to open

■ Wholesale market in Sector 26 to open. Temporary vegetable and fruit market to continue at the Sector-17 ISBT till further orders

HOSPITALIT­Y

■ Sweet shops and bakeries allowed to open, but can’t provide any dining facility

■ Restaurant­s will be permitted to operate only for home delivery of cooked food

COMMERCIAL

■ Industrial activities including manufactur­ing activities allowed

■ E-commerce activities can take place for both essential and non-essential goods

■ Interstate movement of all types of goods, cargo and empty trucks

■ All constructi­on activities allowed, subject to prescribed norms

SPORTS

■ Sports complexes allowed to open, but close-proximity games, such as wrestling, judo, will not be allowed

■ No spectators will be allowed inside sports complexes

■ Canteens, eating joints attached to the sports complexes will remain closed

■ Likewise, Chandigarh Golf Club will also open for golfing, but eateries will remain closed

VEHICULAR MOVEMENT

■ All non-AC buses will  operate in the tricity with the consent of neighbouri­ng states. There will be a flat rate of ₹20 per ticket. The buses will run with 50% capacity only and necessary social distancing norms will be followed

■ Interstate buses (outside tricity) will be resumed after obtaining necessary consent from the states

■ Personal cars and cabs allowed with maximum three people, including driver

■ Cycle and auto-rickshaws can ply with only one passenger

■ Two-wheelers can ply, but without a pillion rider
