MAN HELD WITH 66,150 TABLETS IN AMRITSAR

AMARITSAR: AMRITSAR A man was arrested on Wednesday for possessing 66,150 tablets which are banned for sale without prescription from Mardi Kalan village under the Majitha sub-division. The accused was identified as Balwinder Singh of the same village. Senior superintendent of police (SSP, rural) Vikram Jeet Duggal said the tablets included Alprazolam, Tramadol Hydrochloride and Clovidol. He said the accused has been booked under the NDPS Act at Chatiwind police station.
