Sunil Grover ( top left) has led the rest of the cast members of The Kapil Sharma show including Chandan Prabhakar and Ali Asgar, boycotting the show. None of them turned up at the shoot held recently. Now, to ensure that the show goes on, the channel and the production house have roped in comedians Raju

Srivastava (right), Sunil Pal and Ahsaan Qureshi, who’ve even shot for a special episode.

In an interview with HT, Raju told that he believes Kapil doesn’t know how to handle success. “I don’t think he is arrogant, I feel he can’t deal with the pressure that comes along. Be it a function or a shaadi, people always want Kapil to perform. This is why he has stopped answering phone calls,” says Raju.

Reports suggest that Kapil was in a drunken state when he hit and abused Sunil on the flight from Australia. Raju reveals that he’s heard Kapil losing his cool after drinking, in the past too. “Kapil has never misbehaved with me, but other artists and technicians on the show have told me how he gets angry after drinking. They say that otherwise he (Kapil) is fine, but changes completely after drinking. It’s so sad. People love us and if we misbehave (after drinking), then, these stories hurt our fans,” says Raju who is trying to sort out this issue. “Kapil is trying to meet Gutthi (Sunil), but he’s out of Mumbai. He said that Sunil is determined not to come back on the show. To make things better, I’ve arranged a meeting with them at my house today. I’m even thinking of calling Kapil’s mom (to mediate),” says Raju.
